Thanks to the Amazon store, information about Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, a refreshed version of the classic edition of the NFS series from 2010, has been leaked.

Chain store websites are often an excellent source of information about unannounced projects. The latest example of this is Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, which appeared in the Amazon offer. The production was quickly discontinued, but the milk had already spilled. The information on the store’s website was modest. November 13 this year was given as the release date. Only Xbox One and Nintendo Switch were mentioned among the platforms, but we would be very surprised if the project did not also appear on PlayStation 4 and PC.
Of course, until the game is officially disclosed, all this information should be approached with a great deal of distance. Most leaks of this type from Amazon, however, most often turn out to be true. As the title suggests, the game will be a refreshed version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The production debuted on November 16, 2010 on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and a few days later also hit the Nintendo Wii. The game was warmly received. The PC version has an average rating of 86% according to Metacritic. When released on PS3 it is 89% and on X360 it is 88%. No later version can boast such high results. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit was also liked by our editor who gave the production a score of 8.5 / 10. The game is also liked by players – on Steam, 84% of user reviews are positive. The title seems to be the perfect candidate for a remaster. We know that Criterion is already working on a new installment of the series, but it will probably not debut until 2021, so releasing a refreshed version of the classic NFS series in November this year would be a good idea.
