According to the latest report by the analytical company DFC Intelligence, already 3.1 billion people in the world are players (which translates into approx. 40% of the world’s population). Most of them live in Asia (1.42 billion), and slightly less in Europe (668 million), Latin America (383 million) and North America (261 million). Compared to the previous years, the largest number of people using only smartphones – users loyal to mobile phones account for almost half of all players in the world. Mobile equipment is the most popular in Asia (53% of all users). The following places were followed by: Europe (17%), Latin America (11%), the Middle East and North Africa region (7%) and North America (4%). 1.5 billion people (48% of the global gaming market) are PC players. However, it should be remembered that many of them, apart from personal computers, also use other electronic equipment. Consoles are used by 8% of all players. The low result in the ranking is offset by the fact that the representatives of this group spend the most on their hobbies (per head).
